Triple P today

The Triple P – Positive Parenting Program is widely regarded as one of the world’s most effective parenting programs. It is one of the few based on evidence from ongoing scientific research. In fact, the United Nations ranks Triple P the number one parenting program in the world, based on the amount of research and evidence behind the program.

Triple P is used in 25 countries including Australia, the USA, England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Canada, New Zealand, Belgium, Japan, Iran, Hong Kong, Singapore, the Netherlands, Germany, Curacao, Romania, Switzerland, Austria and Sweden. It has been translated into 18 languages and it’s estimated to have helped more than four million children and their families.

Triple P has won numerous international awards including the Australian Heads of Government National Violence Prevention Award. Founder Professor Matt Sanders has also been a consultant to the World Health Organization and the Council of Europe as well as to governments in Australia, the UK, Canada, New Zealand, Switzerland, Japan and Iran.

Over the years, a number of specialist Triple P programs have been developed. These include Stepping Stones Triple P (for parents of children with a disability), Lifestyle Triple P (for parents of children who are overweight), Family Transitions Triple P (for parents going through divorce or separation) and Indigenous Triple P (for Indigenous Australian families).
